Overview

Audio, sound and paging, done right.

Sound is the part of AV people notice only when it is wrong. A council chamber where the public cannot hear, a gym where announcements turn to echo, a restaurant where the music is loud at one table and silent at the next. JUDCO Communications designs audio so that speech is intelligible and coverage is even everywhere it needs to be.

We build sound reinforcement for meeting and assembly spaces, background music and paging for buildings and campuses, and distributed audio over the network using modern DSP platforms. Every system is measured and tuned in the room it serves.

What we deliver

What is included.

  • Speech reinforcement

Microphones, DSP and loudspeakers that make voices clear without feedback.

  • Background music

Zoned music with local volume control for retail, hospitality and offices.

  • Paging and announcements

Building-wide and zoned paging tied to phones, schedules or a simple microphone.

  • Networked audio

Audio over IP for flexible routing between rooms, buildings and sources.

  • Assistive listening

Systems that help people with hearing loss follow every word.

  • Outdoor and large spaces

Weather-rated speakers and coverage planning for patios, fields and plazas.

  • Wireless microphones

Frequency planning and charging stations so mics are ready when needed.

  • Tuning and measurement

Every system measured and equalized in place before handover.

Approach

Measured, not guessed

Audio design starts with the room: volume, surfaces, background noise and where people sit or stand. We model speaker coverage and choose products that put sound where listeners are and keep it off the walls that cause echo.

During commissioning we measure the system with test equipment and adjust equalization, delay and levels zone by zone. Microphones are tested for gain before feedback, and paging zones are checked for level and clarity.

Controls are kept simple. Staff get volume and source control where they need it, and the rest is locked down so the system stays tuned.

Project

Countywide courtroom audio

Across a large county courtroom program, JUDCO installed and tuned audio so judges, counsel, witnesses and remote participants are heard clearly, with recordings captured cleanly for the record.

How we work

One team, start to handover.

  1. 01

    Site walk

We see the space, the pathways and what is already installed.

  2. 02

    Design and estimate

A clear scope, drawings and a written budget estimate.

  3. 03

    Build

Equipment, cabling and programming by one coordinated team.

  4. 04

    Commission and hand over

Tested, labeled, documented and ready to use.

FAQ

Questions we hear often

Why can we not understand speech in our room?

Usually it is a mix of echo, background noise and speakers that are aimed or placed poorly. A site visit with measurements tells us which, and how to fix it.

Can paging connect to our phone system?

In most cases, yes. We connect paging to compatible phone systems, schedule bells and microphones, with zones you control.

Do you provide assistive listening systems?

Yes. We design and install assistive listening for meeting, assembly and public spaces where it is required or desired.

Can you add zones to an existing system?

Often. We assess what is installed and recommend whether to expand it or replace the core with a networked platform.

Do you tune the system after installation?

Always. Every system is measured and tuned in the room before handover.
