Overview

Control rooms and command centers, done right.

Operations rooms run around the clock and cannot go dark. JUDCO Communications builds the AV side of control rooms and operations centers: video walls, operator displays, KVM and source switching, audio and the infrastructure that keeps them running.

We design with operators in mind, focusing on viewing angles, glare, desk ergonomics and the shortest path from a source to the screen that needs it. Redundancy is planned in, so a single failure does not take the room down.

What we deliver

What is included.

  • Video walls

LCD or LED walls with processors that put any source in any window.

  • Operator workstations

Multi-display positions with clean cable management.

  • KVM and source routing

Access to any computer from any seat, with low latency.

  • Consoles and ergonomics

Furniture coordination for sight lines and comfort over long shifts.

  • Audio and intercom

Desk audio, paging and coordination between positions.

  • Redundancy

Dual power, spare paths and failover where it matters.

  • Lighting for screens

Glare control and lighting coordinated with display placement.

  • Phased cutover

Work staged so operations continue during the upgrade.

Approach

Uptime is the design brief

Control room projects begin with an operations review: who sits where, what they watch, how they collaborate and what happens when something fails. The layout and technology follow from that.

Upgrades in live rooms are staged. We build and test new systems alongside the old ones, then cut over in planned windows with a rollback plan ready.

Documentation is thorough because these rooms change often. Operators and IT staff receive clear drawings and source maps.

  • Operations and sight-line review
  • Video wall design
  • Workstations and KVM
  • Console coordination
  • Audio and intercom
  • Redundant infrastructure
  • Staged cutover planning
  • Documentation and training

A typical scope

Operations room refresh

In a working operations room, new displays and switching are built alongside the existing systems and cut over during short planned windows, so the room never goes dark.

How we work

One team, start to handover.

  1. 01

    Site walk

We see the space, the pathways and what is already installed.

  2. 02

    Design and estimate

A clear scope, drawings and a written budget estimate.

  3. 03

    Build

Equipment, cabling and programming by one coordinated team.

  4. 04

    Commission and hand over

Tested, labeled, documented and ready to use.

FAQ

Questions we hear often

Can you upgrade our room while it stays in use?

Yes. We stage work so new systems are built and tested before cutover, with short planned windows and a rollback plan.

LCD or LED for an operations wall?

Both work. LCD walls suit detail-heavy content at desk distance; LED offers seamless images and high brightness. We recommend after reviewing your content and room.

Do you supply consoles?

We coordinate console selection and layout with specialist furniture suppliers and integrate the technology.

How do you plan for failures?

Critical paths get redundancy: dual power supplies, spare processors or alternate routes, defined during design.

Do you support rooms after handover?

Yes, through support plans with priority response targets.

Request a site walk.

Site walks and written budget estimates. Call, email or send the project details.
