Overview

Support and maintenance plans, done right.

AV systems wear out quietly. Firmware drifts, projector lamps dim, a microphone battery stops holding a charge and someone moves a cable behind a credenza. A support plan from JUDCO Communications catches those problems on a schedule, before they show up in the middle of a meeting or a public hearing.

Plans are built around your rooms and your risk. A single boardroom may need a visit twice a year; a courthouse or a campus may need scheduled visits, a priority response target and spare parts kept on hand. We write the plan around what you have and how much downtime you can accept.

What we deliver

What is included.

  • Preventive visits

Scheduled on-site checks of every room on the plan, with a written report after each visit.

  • Priority response

Defined response targets for service calls, with remote triage first and a technician dispatched when needed.

  • Firmware and software

Planned updates for codecs, DSPs, control processors and displays, tested before they are pushed.

  • Spares strategy

Recommendations for critical spares so a failed part does not take a room offline for weeks.

  • Asset records

An up-to-date inventory of every device, serial number and warranty date on the plan.

  • User refreshers

Short sessions for new staff so rooms are used correctly and support calls drop.

  • Systems we did not install

We can take on rooms built by others after an initial assessment.

  • Plain reporting

Visit notes, open issues and recommended fixes, written for facilities and IT, not just engineers.

Approach

Support that matches the stakes

We start every plan with a baseline visit. Each room is tested end to end and documented: what is installed, what condition it is in and what needs attention now. That baseline becomes the yardstick for every visit after it.

Service calls start with a phone conversation and, where the system allows, remote diagnostics. Many issues are fixed without a truck roll. When a visit is needed, the technician arrives knowing the room, the equipment and the history.

Because we also build cabling and infrastructure, a support visit can address the whole path, from the touch panel to the rack to the switch port, rather than stopping at the edge of the AV gear.

  • Baseline assessment of every covered room
  • Scheduled preventive maintenance
  • Remote triage and phone support
  • On-site service calls
  • Firmware and software updates
  • Asset and warranty tracking
  • Visit reports and recommendations
  • Optional after-hours coverage

A typical scope

County courtroom support

For multi-room clients such as courts, a plan sets scheduled checks of every room, a clear service process and response targets matched to the daily calendar, so issues are triaged quickly and rooms stay available.

FAQ

Questions we hear often

Do you only support systems JUDCO installed?

No. We support systems installed by others too. We start with an assessment so we know what is there, what condition it is in and what it will take to support it well.

What does a preventive maintenance visit include?

Each covered room is powered up and tested: displays, sources, microphones, speakers, cameras, control and conferencing. We clean, tighten, update and document, then report what we found.

How fast do you respond to a service call?

Response targets are set in each plan based on how critical the rooms are. Remote triage usually starts the same business day.

Can a plan cover cabling and network closets too?

Yes. Plans can include structured cabling checks, rack and closet housekeeping and documentation updates alongside the AV systems.

Is there a minimum number of rooms?

No hard minimum. We scale plans from a single critical room to entire campuses.

Request a site walk.

Site walks and written budget estimates. Call, email or send the project details.
